Te Rūnanga-Ā-Iwi-O-Ngāpuhi Scholarship Awards were established in 2003.  The overall aim of Ngāpuhi Scholarships is to assist Ngāpuhi students to fulfill their potential for academic success, and encourage applicants to contribute their skills towards the wellbeing and betterment of Ngāpuhi whānau, hapū and iwi.

Kaikohe Rotary Literacy Day 2014 @Saturday 5 April, 10am-12pm (Northland College)

Hauora Māori Scholarships provide financial assistance to students who are undertaking or completing a cours in health and disability studies that has been accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA).

Ngāpuhi Youth Leader Nomination to R Tucker Thompson Leadership Voyage 7-13 June 2014 @Applications close on 31 March 2014

Far North Holdings Ltd will be sponsoring scholarship places for a 7-day youth development voyage on Northland's tall ship the R.Tucker Thompson.  Te Rūnanga-Ā-Iwi-O-Ngāpuhi has been offered a place and would like to offer it to Ngapuhi marae, hapū and takiwā to put forward a taitamariki that they believe has great leadership skills. We are looking for a taitamariki who may demonstrate leadership at home, on his/her marae, at school, at church or out in the community. If you think you know of a suitable candidate, please discuss this with them and assist them to complete a Registration of Interest form.  The Registration of Interest forms are attached and must be completed properly and back at our office by 31st March 2014.. Applications for this place will be considered by the Hapū Development team in early April with the successful candidate being notified shortly after. There may also be other opportunities, for other trips, so we encourage all whānau to consider putting a potential taitamariki from your communities forward. 


Kohanga confusion among whānau

Allegations of misspending by the Kohanga Reo National Trust are causing whanau to think twice about enrolling thier tamariki in kohanga reo, an iwi leader says.
