Matters Arising

Enquiries about Codes of Compliance and Building Warrants of Fitness for marae are ongoing.

Correspondence

Letter from Tracy Dalton on behalf of Kelvin Davis asking if he could speak for about five minutes and answer questions at the August takiwā meeting.

Financial Report

Te Rūnanga-ā-iwi o Ngāpuhi Trustee’s Report

That the Trustee’s Report is received.

Matters Arising

Suggested that there is a need for the Rūnanga to address the issue of the standard of whaikōrero on Ngāpuhi marae.

Marae Reports

Kohewhata

  • Successful Matariki celebration, and many other hui.

  • Mana Ipurangi Party expected tomorrow.

  • Need to address a drainage problem.

  • A hui regarding changes in Te Ture Whenua is on the calendar.

Te Riingi

  • Name change has been formalised.

  • Considering hosting a defibrillator.

  • Asked that Keith make enquiries at Rūnanga level about defibrillators at marae and related training.

General

  • Sid has the role of encouraging everyone to register and vote at the General Election. Every vote counts.

  • Keith can make wooden forms for marae.
