General Business

Hapū Development

  • Suggested that in the review of the Hapū Development Strategy consideration is given to targeting a small number of marae (maybe three) each year and providing them with a substantial grant (e.g., $30,000).
  • The selection could be by ballot.
  • This would get a marae over the threshold which would allow them to apply for other funding.

Taonga Conservation

  • Lucy Taurua-Mason of the Hapū Development Team distributed invitations to the planned Taonga Conservation Workshop at Otaua Marae, 26-27 November (Link to notice: View or Download - PDF 360kb).
